You will be required to either send verification report to CRNA via email or instruct credentialing agency to send report to CRNA.
Requirements:
- Demographic Information
You will need to use your photo ID to validate your identity using our online verification process.
• If the online process is unsuccessful, you will need to submit photo ID to
[email protected].
- Currency of Practice for Registered Nurses (RNs)
You will meet the currency of practice requirement if you have completed one of the following items within five practice years of your application.
- Successfully completed an approved nursing education program.
- Completed at least 250 hours of nursing practice (includes RN and NP hours).
- Completed the Registered Nurses Canadian Competence Assessment Program (RNCCAP [formerly known as ARNAP]) with results indicating competence to practise as a RN.
- Successfully completing a recognized nursing bridging program.
- Successfully completed an approved program leading to re-entry to nursing practice (also known as a nursing refresher program).
- Completed nursing courses, at a college or university level (at the discretion of the Registrar).
- Post secondary Education
- IELTS or English Language proficiency -If needed
- NCLEX RN Examination
- Good character
If you currently living outside of Canada:
You are required to obtain a criminal record check locally and submit it to
[email protected].
- Fitness to practice:
You are required to attest to questions in College Connect, confirming you meet the fitness to practice requirements. You do not need to submit anything by email for this requirement.
8. Jurisprudence examination:
You are required to complete the two e-learning modules in College Connect.
The results of these modules will be sent directly to the CRNA. You are not required to do
anything further.
9. Liability Insurance:
You are required to obtain CNPS professional liability protection.
There are two options for this purchase:
Option 1:
• Obtain a membership with the Alberta Association of Nurses (AAN) for $50 | albertanursing.ca
• You can then obtain CNPS coverage at a discounted rate of $68
Option 2:
• Obtain CNPS coverage directly. The cost of this option is $88. | cnps.ca/crna-registrants
Proof of purchase of CNPS coverage will be sent directly to the CRNA. You are not required to do anything further.
The cost of this is payable by the applicant.

- CRNA college connect -Join the register -Start application -CRNA account payment -CAD $236.25.
- Confirm competency and select pathway. All pathway leads to NCLEX RN

- Verification of registration from one of Australia, India, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, United Kingdom, or United States
- Other Countries-Verification of nurse registration request form , Education verification form.

5. Schedule Pearsonvue Examination-ATT validity is for 6month-Exam duration-177 CAD.

Prepare for practice in Alberta (Attend online class)-2 Online courses on Alberta jurisprudence and protecting patients from sexual abuse and misconduct and purchase professional liability protection. 7. Pay and declare application assessment fees. Once CRNA review all met-you will be welcomed to the register.

- NCSBN Registration fee- 378CAD(1100 AED)
- NCLEX Examination fee -177 CAD(530 AED)
