Healthcare professionals holding an active Sharjah Health Authority (SHA) license can apply for professional registration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), subject to DHA eligibility, DataFlow verification, experience, professional registration, and assessment requirements.
This process is commonly known as an SHA to DHA license transfer.
Documents Required
For SHA to DHA transfer, applicants may need:
- Valid passport copy
- Passport-size photo
- Degree or diploma certificate
- Academic transcript and mark sheets
- 12th certificate, where applicable
- Valid home-country professional registration
- SHA professional license
- SHA experience certificate
- SHA Good Standing Certificate
- Previous DataFlow report
- Previous country Good Standing Certificate, if required
- Valid BLS certificate for nurses
- Additional professional documents depending on the category
The Good Standing Certificate should generally be less than six months old at the time of DHA application.

SHA to DHA Transfer Process
1. Obtain SHA Good Standing Certificate
Apply for the Good Standing Certificate from the relevant Sharjah healthcare authority.
2. Create DHA Account
Create your professional account through the DHA licensing system and complete your profile.
3. Transfer Previous DataFlow
If you already completed DataFlow under SHA or another UAE authority, the existing report can usually be transferred to DHA.
Additional documents such as:
- SHA license
- SHA experience certificate
- Updated qualifications or experience
may require verification.
4. Complete Assessment if Required
Holding an SHA license does not automatically guarantee DHA exam exemption. DHA will decide whether an assessment is required based on your profession, qualification, experience, and previous licensing history.
5. Submit DHA Registration Application
Once DataFlow and other requirements are completed, submit the application for DHA professional registration.
6. Receive DHA Registration
After approval, you can search for jobs in Dubai under your approved professional title.
7. Employer Activates DHA License
Once you receive a job offer from a DHA-licensed healthcare facility, the employer can activate your professional license.
Important Points
An SHA license does not automatically convert into a DHA license.
Your eligibility depends on:
- Qualification
- Professional experience
- Current license status
- Good Standing Certificate
- DataFlow verification
- Clinical practice history
- DHA/PQR requirements
Applicants with only a short period of SHA experience may also need to provide previous country experience, professional registration, and Good Standing documents.
Can Previous SHA DataFlow Be Used for DHA?
Yes. Previous DataFlow reports can generally be transferred to DHA, although additional or updated documents may still require verification.
