UAE Tourism Sector Hopes for a Strong Comeback

Dubai: The tourism sector in the UAE has been facing a difficult period due to several challenges, including natural disasters, protests, global uncertainty, and a sharp rise in air ticket prices. In an effort to bring tourists back and rebuild confidence among travellers, new initiatives are being introduced in the UAE.

Etihad Airways has announced that visitors travelling to Abu Dhabi will receive free medical insurance. The move is expected to provide major support to the tourism sector and encourage more travellers to visit the emirate.

A Step Towards Tourism Recovery

During the first half of the year, airlines in the UAE faced significant financial losses. Reports suggest that major carriers, including Emirates, recorded losses running into hundreds of millions of dollars. Etihad Airways also suffered heavily during this period.

To regain the trust of travellers and attract visitors again, Etihad Airways has introduced new support measures. The main aim is to ensure passenger safety, reduce travel-related concerns, and provide confidence to people planning to visit the UAE.

Under the new plan, travellers visiting the UAE will receive free medical insurance coverage for 15 days. Passengers who book flight tickets will be eligible for this insurance benefit.

The insurance will cover emergency medical expenses, including treatment related to COVID-19. If travellers require hospital treatment during their stay, the insurance will provide support up to the approved limit.

Important Points to Note

Travellers should check the insurance terms and conditions carefully while booking their flight tickets. They should also confirm whether pre-existing medical conditions are covered under the policy.

Travel insurance services like this are expected to increase confidence among passengers. If health issues arise during travel, visitors will have access to medical support, making their journey safer and more secure.

Such initiatives are expected to play an important role in the recovery of the UAE tourism sector and help attract more international visitors in the coming months.
