Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s Floating Hospital, currently anchored in the Egyptian city of Al Arish, has successfully fitted 64 Palestinian patients with prosthetic limbs as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts.
The initiative was carried out under the “Step of Hope” programme, which forms part of the UAE’s humanitarian mission “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.”
The programme highlights the UAE’s continued commitment to providing essential humanitarian and medical assistance to the Palestinian people, particularly those affected by injuries and limb loss.
The project aims to rehabilitate patients who have lost limbs and help them regain mobility, independence, and return to normal daily life.
Patients enrolled in the programme receive comprehensive medical and rehabilitation support, including detailed medical assessments, customised prosthetic limb manufacturing and fitting, physiotherapy, physical rehabilitation sessions, and continuous medical follow-up.
Through the Step of Hope programme, the UAE continues to strengthen its humanitarian healthcare support for Palestinians in need, while helping injured patients rebuild their lives with greater mobility and independence.
