Dubai: The Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) has completed 568 inspections this year across medical warehouses in the UAE, aiming to ensure the safety of medicines and the efficiency of their distribution systems.
So far this month alone, 86 inspections have already been carried out as part of the authority’s ongoing regulatory efforts.
The findings from these inspections have been integrated into digital monitoring systems, enhancing transparency and oversight. The initiative focuses on promoting best operational practices while ensuring strict compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. It also aims to guarantee the availability of sufficient medicines in the local market.
Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Director-General of the Emirates Drug Establishment, emphasized that regular inspections of medical warehouses are crucial for maintaining the safety and quality of pharmaceutical products.
She further highlighted that strong collaboration between the EDE and pharmaceutical warehouses plays a vital role in ensuring the availability of safe, reliable medical products and strengthening confidence in the pharmaceutical sector.
