Application Process:
- Data flow verification – PSV verification process of your documents.
- Qatar Prometric exam.
- Application in the Ministry of Public Health, State of Qatar.
Documents Required:
- Passport copy
- Passport size photograph
- Educational degree/diploma certificate (convocation certificate needed, not provisional degree)
- Mark List or transcript
- Experience certificate based on professional qualification criteria requirements for each profession.
- Home country License/Registration and last working country license – Initial registration and renewed copy
- Resume
- Licensing Exam score report – If required by the scope of practice. If you have any exemption for the exam, upload that document.
- Dataflow verification Report
- Good standing certificate
- Police Clearance Certificate from the home country attested from MOFA.
- CPR certificate
- QID certificate
- Medical fitness certificate
Step 1: Data Flow Verification of Your Documents:
- Sign up dataflow page QCHP-QCHP dataflow.
- Select the Ministry of Public Health, State of Qatar.
- Proceed with your package.
- Has to do dataflow for your Education, License, and Experience.
- Experience – Last 3-year experience up to 3 employments.
Once you receive a positive data flow report, you can apply for the Prometric Exam or even before the data flow, you can apply for the exam.
Step 2: Booking Prometric Exam:
- Register on the Prometric site.
- Make sure that you enter exact details as in your passport.
- Provide the exact mail id and phone number for contact information.
- The exam fee varies for each profession; for nurses, it is 225 USD. Bank service charges will apply based on USD to your currency conversion, depending on your debit or credit card.
- All details related to the Prometric exam are given on the Prometric site.
- For nurses, the exam consists of 150 MCQs for 3 hours – Registered General Nurse. Other professionals’ exams depend on their specialty. You will get all the information while booking.
- For rescheduling: 30 days prior, no charges; 5-29 days – 40 USD fees; if less than 5 days or fail to appear for the exam, reaching 30 minutes after the center’s start time – no refund of money.
- 20 USD will be charged for a score report or score confirmation letter if lost.
- You will receive the score report soon after the exam.
Step 3: Register in MOH Website – Apply for Evaluation:
- Login to the Department of Healthcare Professionals, State of Qatar, Ministry of Public Health.
- Apply for evaluation. Upload all necessary documents and pay the evaluation fee, which is about 100 QAR.
- Officials will verify your documents. Status will be pending with the employer, approved by DHP.
- Inform the employer to accept the invitation.
- once employer accept you will be issued your evaluation letter and MOI request letter
- The employer will login through the institutional account and will do further processing and apply for the license either temporary or permanent based on your residence status in Qatar.
- License fee is around 600 QAR.
- Your license will be activated after all documents are updated in the system.
For applying permanent license, following documents must be submitted.
- QID
- Police clearence from Qatar
- Medical fitness Report
- CPR certificates
- Data flow verification -Positive reports
- Confirmation that your certificate of good standing has been received by QCHP.
Here I am mentioning the documents required for the temporary license and permanent license.
Temporary License Requirements:
- Copy of a valid QID (front and back) (If applicable).
- In case the healthcare practitioner applies for the temporary license without a QID, then the following documents must be submitted:
- Medical Test from the home country (Blood Test, Chest X-ray) attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar (MOFA).
- Police Clearance Certificate from the home country attested from MOFA.
- Undertaking letters for the temporary license for the practitioner and facility (the templates are in the “Additional Attachments” document) have to be uploaded.
If your application does not meet the requirements mentioned above, it will be sent back to you. Temporary Licenses shall be valid for a maximum period of 6 months (non-renewable). The practitioner must apply for a licensing application during the temporary license validity period; otherwise, they will have to re-apply for evaluation. In case of negative verification reports and proven incidents of fraud, the license will be suspended, the practitioner will be banned from practicing immediately, and this will result in disciplinary actions on the practitioner. Original documents/certificates might be requested on a case-by-case basis. Any other documents required to support the application that are not mentioned above must be submitted upon request. Any documents presented in languages other than Arabic or English must be translated to Arabic or English and attached to a copy of the original documents.
Licensing Requirements:
- Copy of a valid QID (front and back) (If applicable).
- Copy of the verification report.
- Copy of Police Clearance Certificate from Qatari Ministry of Interior.
- Medical report (valid for 6 months), which can be issued by:
- HMC
- Medical Commission
- Private hospitals (Al Ahli, Al Emadi & Doha Clinic)
- Primary Health Care Corporation (For Qataris only)
- Medical report must include:
- HIV test, HCV test, HBV test, and Chest X-Ray.
- Copy of Valid Recognized CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) course or its equivalent (or CPR registration receipt + undertaking letter that CPR certificate will be submitted upon completion).
- Original Certificate of Good Standing must be sent directly from the Registration authority (or authorities) of the most recent required years of work experience, to:

Notes:
- Applications that do not meet the requirements mentioned above will be sent back to the applicant.
- The certificate of good standing will be reviewed during this phase; any misleading information provided will result in further investigations and could result in disciplinary action.
- It is the applicant’s responsibility to follow up on receiving the certificate of good standing.

Congratulations on Passing the Exam. What to Do Next:
You have to find out an employer. Interviews will be conducted through online video call options. If you have any relatives, you can seek their help to get a job offer from Qatar facilities. Get your Visa and reach Qatar.
Once you are selected by a facility, the remaining application process will be done by the facility. You can also continue the process if you have all the documents.
Step 4: Finding an Employer and Applying for a License:
You have to find an employer in Qatar and apply for a license through the Ministry of Public Health, State of Qatar. You need to register on the Department of Healthcare Professionals’ website and apply for evaluation. Submit all necessary documents and pay the evaluation fee (approximately 100 QAR). After the verification of your documents and approval from the employer, the license fee (around 600
QAR) can be paid, and your license will be activated after all documents are updated in the system.

- Medical Test from the home country (Blood Test, Chest X-ray) attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar (MOFA).

Temporary licenses are valid for a maximum of 6 months (non-renewable). During this period, practitioners must apply for a permanent license. If the application does not meet the requirements or is found fraudulent, the license will be suspended, and disciplinary actions will be taken.

- Copy of a valid QID (front and back) if applicable.
- Copy of the verification report.
- Copy of Police Clearance Certificate from the Qatari Ministry of Interior.
- Medical report (valid for 6 months) including HIV, HCV, HBV tests, and Chest X-Ray from an approved medical facility.
- Copy of a valid recognized CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) course or its equivalent, or a registration receipt with an undertaking letter for future submission of the CPR certificate.
- Original Certificate of Good Standing directly sent from the Registration authority of the most recent required years of work experience.

Upon passing the exam, the next step is to find an employer in Qatar. Interviews can be conducted through online video calls, and applicants can also seek help from relatives working in Qatar. Once selected by a facility, the applicant can proceed with the licensing application, which will be managed by the facility.
