REGISTRATION OF CORU – IRELAND (HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE PROFESSIONALS COUNCIL)

This registration is for allied health professionals who wish to work in Ireland. Apply for recognition of International Qualification. Following professional qualifications are recognized.

  • Dietitians
  • Dispensing Opticians (General Division)
  • Dispensing Opticians (Contact Lenses Division)
  • Medical Scientists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Optometrists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Podiatrists/Chiropodists
  • Radiographers and Radiation Therapists
  • Social Workers
  • Speech and Language Therapists

CORU website provides exact details of documents required for the process.

Always pay attention to your qualification information in section 4 -course details, hours, practical hours, complete details have to give. There are lot of applications returned back due to improper qualification information.

When you apply for registration, you must be still working.

English proficiency test -IELTS/OET (relevant to profession).

After sending application to CORU within 1 week you will get mail notification acknowledgment

Witin1 month will get email that your documents are completed or missing, need supporting documents like that

Within 4 months if all documents are ok, then you will get one mail mentions “file is complete”.

If your hours of training are not up to Ireland standards, then they will provide measures to adapt it by attending courses.

Your name will enter in CORU register, then you can search job and after finding employer apply for visa.
